HARLEY
Impounded in September '02 along with four other horses (two of which
are still seeking a new home!) and a cow, Harley scored a 1.5 on the Heneke scale. Feeling
much better now, Harley is already getting in shape to start going for trail rides with
his new owner later this spring!

Nakota (aka No Namé)
Impounded along with Harley (above) Nakota was almost as underweight as Harley and had a
tremendous amount of calcified proud flesh that had grown over an injury that had been
left unattended. Dr. Mike Vanzwol performed the surgery for HAR-OTC to remove the mass.
Nakota has found a new family who absolutely adore him and have helped care for him
throughout his recovery.

SARAH and JACK
Two of our mini horses impounded in May '02 recently found a new home and have quickly
melted the hearts of their new family. " What wonderful kids! Sarah can jump
over 30 inches from a stand-still. I gave up on penning her in the small pen.
Here is a photo of the two in their pen looking up at my house and the mountain.
They are wonderful babies. I have them mostly groomed. It is so messy here
that I didn't want to bother with their bellies yet. "
